IDC’s Information Society Index
The Information Society Index (ISI) was created in the mid-I 990s as the worlds first measure of the ability of 53 nations to participate in the information revolution.
The ISI is a unique study that combines 15 variables arranged in four infrastructures to calculate and rank nations in one overall index and four subindexes. The index and subindexes establish a standard by which all nations are measured according to their ability to access and absorb information and information technology.
